Ingredients Coconut Milk Sauce Chicken Soto


  • 1 chicken, cut 4 parts
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cm galangal, pounded
  • 2 cm ginger, pounded
  • 2 stalks of lemongrass, take the white part in the middle, pounded
  • 4 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of granulated sugar
  • 1,500 ml of thin coconut milk (from thick coconut milk)
  • 250 ml thick coconut milk from 1 coconut
  • 2 tablespoons oil for sauteing
  • the oil for frying

Ground Spices


  • 10 grains of red onion
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  • 3 cm turmeric, burned



Supplementary Material


  • 2 tablespoons fried onions for sprinkling
  • 1 spring onion, sliced
  • 150 grams of fried chips / crackers
  • celery leaves (you can chop it and sprinkle it on the soto )
  • chunks of lime (you can squeeze the lime, so that soto is fresher)
  • some pieces of boiled eggs
  • soy sauce
  • etc



HOW TO MAKE IT


1. Heat the oil.

2. Saute the finer spices, bay leaves, galangal, ginger, and lemongrass until fragrant.

3. Add chicken. Stir until it changes color.

4. Enter the thin coconut milk, salt, and sugar. Cook until well done.

5. Raise the chicken. Fried chicken until browned.

6. Then chop the chicken (long torn).

7. Enter the thick coconut milk in the soup stew.

8. Then boil again.

9. Serve the soto with complementary materials and chopped chicken (you can eat it with rice) .
